World Population Day being Observed
The World Population Day-2019 was observed in Bangladesh like many other countries in the world in a very festive mood on July 11, 2019. The theme of ‘World Population Day-2019’ is ’25 years of ICPD: accelerating the promise’. Numerous activities were taken nationwide to celebrate the day. Among the nationwide initiatives the main attraction of the day was the inaugural session and award giving ceremony at Krishibid Institutions, Khamarbari, Dhaka. World Population Day being Observed
The World Population Day is being celebrated worldwide including Bangladesh on Wednesday to spread awareness and discuss issues related to population growth. In 1989, the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programe recommended that July 11 be observed by the international community as World Population Day, a day to focus attention on the urgency and importance of population issues.
