The National Vitamin-A capsule started across the country on Sunday, October 04 2020 aiming to feed the capsule to children aged between six and 59 months. Health Minister Zahid Maleque inaugurated the 14-day campaign at a program through feeding the Vitamin A-plus capsule to achild at Dhaka Shishu Hospital ( Dhaka Children’s Hospital). Mostofa Kamal, additional secretary (Public Health) of the Health and Family Welfare ministry chaired the program while Dr. S M Mustafizur Rahman, Line director of National Nutrition Services (NNS) , delivered the welcome speech in the ceremony. Former Pro-Vice Chancellor of BSMMU Professor Dr. Md. Shahidullah, also chairman of Dhaka Shishu Hospital management committee, Professor Dr. Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alom, Director General of Directorate of Health Services (DGHS) and Dr. Syed Shafi Ahmed Muaz, director of Dhaka Shishu Hospital, among others, were present

Minister Sheikh Hasina is determined to ensure a healthy health generation for the future. He also called the guardians to bring their children aged 6 to 59 months to the nearest EPI centers, community clinics and other public health centers to feed the Vitamin A capsules, maintaining social distance and hygiene.
