Common Guidelines for Presentation in The BCC Working Group Meeting

Based on decision of the 23rd  BCC working meeting a sub-committee has been formed comprising of five members (Convener- Mr. Ruhul Amin Talukder, Joint secretary, HSD MOHFW, three members – one each from IEM, BHE & IEM and one member from Ujjiban as member secretary) to  develop a common guidelines for presentation. The USAID Ujjiban SBCC Project is going to launch a new online eLearning course soon

The USAID Ujjiban SBCC Project is going to launch an online eLearning course on Tuberculosis (TB) for field workers in health, population and nutrition sector. This is a video-based eLearning course which includes illustration and animation. The course is designed to enhance the update knowledge and skills of field workers on TB, and supplement the training they received. Meeting on Comprehensive SBCC Strategy Held at MoHFW

The discussion meeting on the draft detailed activities of Comprehensive SBCC Strategy Action Plan and identified indicators was held on February 28, 2018 in the Conference Room of MoHFW. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Md. Serajul Huq Khan, Secretary, Health Services Division of MoHFW, while Mr. Md. Fayiz Ahmmed, Secretary, Health Education & Family Welfare Division of MoHFW was present as co-chair. World TB Day 2018 to be Observed

Tuberculosis, remains the world’s leading infectious disease, are responsible for the deaths of nearly 1.7 million people each year and representing the ninth leading cause of death globally.  Each year, on 24 March, the world observes World TB Day. The day is an occasion to mobilize political and social commitment for further progress towards eliminating TB as a public health burden.  The theme for World TB Day 2018 is “Wanted: Leaders for a TB-Free World; You can make history. The 24th BCC Working Group Meeting Held

The 24th  BCC Working Group meeting was held on 15 March, 2018 at the IPHN Conference Room,  (3rd   floor, Room 403), Mohakhali, Dhaka. The meeting was hosted by IPHN and  Chaired by Mr. Muhammad Ruhul Quddus, Additional Secretary (Budget), Health Services Division of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW). Md. Ruhul Amin Talukder, Joint Secretary (PH-2), MoHFW and Dr. Samir Kanti Sarker Director, Institute of Public Health Nutrition (IPHN)  & Line Director, National Nutrition Services (NNS) were present as Guest of Honor. “A Brief on ‘Ujjiban’ Baseline Survey”

United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has awarded a grant to the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Program (CCP) to generate demand for maternal, neonatal, child and adolescent health (MNCAH), family planning (FP), nutrition and tuberculosis (TB) services in Bangladesh using high quality social and behavior change communication (SBCC) through Ujjiban SBCC project.
