Draft of 20 May Meeting Notes and IEC Technical Committee Information Sheet

The ninth meeting of the BCC Working Group was held at the Institute of Public Health Nutrition (IPHN) on 20 May 2013, chaired by Mr. Md. Abdul Waheed Akanda, Chief, BHE & Line Director, Health Education and Promotion, DGHS. In this meeting, the agenda included working group news and updates, presentation of digital resources from the Bangladesh Knowledge Management Initiative’s eHealth pilot, presentation of an information sheet about the IEC Technical Commitee, and a presentation of concept note from a forthcoming digital toolkit on BCC programming for program mangers and planners. eHealth Pilot Program for Fieldworkers has launched!

The USAID-funded Knowledge for Health’s (K4Health) Bangladesh Knowlegement Management Initiative officially launched the eHealth pilot program in April in Chittagong and Sylhet Districts. The three-month pilot aims to normalize the use of digitized resources on netbooks by fieldworkers to aid their client-based counseling and supplement their own knowledge. USAID’s Monica Bautista and Peggy D’Adamo recently visited Bangladesh and attended the launch of the pilot program in Chittagong. Eighth Meeting, 12 December 2012

The eighth meeting of the BCC Working Group was held at the Institute of Public Health Nutrition (IPHN) on 12 December 2012. In this meeting, the agenda included a briefing of the alignment workshop, next steps after the workshop, a presentation about the IEC Technical Commitee, an update from the Best Practices Sub-Group, a update about HPN coordination among three MOHFW units, and a discussion on efforts to obtain recognition for the BCC Working Group.
