Observance of National Nutrition Week, 2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation the government of Bangladesh observed the National Nutrition Week with a very low-profile from April 23-29, 2020 with the previous theme “Think about nutrition, if you think about food”. During the observance of the nutrition week country was under in lock down due to COVID-19. E learning course on Nutrition available online

The USAID Ujjiban SBCC Project has made available an online eLearning course on Nutrition for Field Workers in Health, Population and Nutrition sector. This is a video-based eLearning course which includes illustrations and animations. The course is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of field workers on Nutrition. The course comprises of eight modules. These are food and nutrition, maternal nutrition, benefits of breast feeding and recommended practice of breast feeding, supplementary feeding- importance and recommended feeding, assessment of nutritional status of children and growth monitoring and promotion, adolescent nutrition, geriatric nutrition and nutrition related referral and follow up. The 29th BCC Working Group Meeting Held

The 29th BCC Working Group meeting was held on 17 December, 2019 at the Conference Room of IEM,  DGFP, Dhaka. The meeting was hosted by IEM Unit of DGFP and Chaired and Co-Chaired by Ms. Rina Parveen , Additional Secretary (PH)), Health Services Division, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and Mr. Nitish Chandra Sarker , Additional Secretary (Population, FW & law), Medical Education and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) . 5th Divisional BCC Working Group Meeting Held at Sylhet

With a primary objective to promote the divisional level GO-NGO coordination and brings better program impact through SBCC approaches in the health and family planning program fields, 5th  Divisional BCC Working Group meeting was held at Sylhet on September 16, 2019.
